Lester Wayne Ray

Lester attended Muskegon High School, class of 1956. He went on to proudly serve his county in The United States Navy from 1955 – 1959, where he was a boiler technician on the USS Putnam 00-757. After his time in the service he would work for Shaw-Walker & Knoll as a spray painter and stock clerk from 1959 to 1996. Lester was a special man to many. He was a wonderful father, uncle, brother, son, and friend. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Lester was preceded in death by: parents, Aubrey and Ruby Ray; as well as, daughter, Rose Marie Ray.

Lester is survived by: brothers, Jim and Doug Ray; children, Sherri (Mark) Ryder, Aubrie Ray, and Steve (Ina) Ray; grandchildren, Alicia Ray, Derrek Kingery, Brittani (David) Evans, Krystal (Brian) Vanhohenstein, Chaslyn (Travis) Ray, Carmen (Jason) Rebedew, Sebrina Ray, and Ruby Ray; He also leaves behind 11 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren.
