Born in Chicago, IL on September 30, 1960, to Benjamin and Diane (Bernot) Espinosa, Lisa grew up in Riverdale, IL and later lived in Homewood, IL, Livonia, MI, and recently retired with her husband to Blue Lake Township, MI. She married Thomas F. Landvogt on March 30, 2001.
Known for her mischievous personality, Lisa loved to laugh, never missing the chance to tell a joke or play a prank. She was a diehard sports fan, loyally supporting favorite teams in Chicago and more recently following Detroit area sports. Her soft spot for the family’s many dogs was well known, spoiling them and mourning each one who passed over the years.
Lisa and Tom fulfilled their dream of building a log cabin in the woods where they hosted many gatherings and together enjoyed everything the outdoors had to offer. She will be remembered for the generosity and hospitality she showed to everyone she loved.
Lisa was dedicated to her 30+ year career in hospital administration and consulting in the field of Oncology Data and Accreditation/Cancer Registry. She received a BA from Governors State University and proudly served in positions at Ingalls Memorial Hospital in Harvey, IL, American College of Surgeons/Commission on Cancer, and Henry Ford Health in Eastern MI, where she rose to the position of Director, Cancer Data and Accreditation.
Lisa was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Carla Espinosa.
Left to remember her are her husband Tom, children Thomas D. (Becky) Landvogt and Matthew Landvogt; grandsons Seth Stone and Isaac Landvogt; sister Nancy Goebel; sisters-in-law Janet (Tom) Usellis and Rita (Jeff) Duckworth; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, a donation in Lisa’s name would be appreciated to The American Cancer Society or your local animal shelter. A memorial celebrating Lisa’s life will be held at Blue Lake Community Church (10981 Blue Lake Rd. Holton, MI 49425) on September 28th at 1:00pm.
