Lori Mattson, born on May 28, 1962, in Muskegon to Harold and Bonnie, embraced life with openness and love. Her teenage years were filled with the joy of dancing with Maycraft Square Tappers and creating lasting memories with friends at Silver Lake.
Throughout her career, her heart was dedicated to healthcare, serving others with compassion. After retirement, she discovered a profound passion for crocheting while finding her greatest joy in her grandchildren. In her role as a supportive figure, Lori consistently demonstrated her commitment by cheering from the sidelines at their sporting events and sharing meaningful moments of connection. Her ability to inspire those around her through love and encouragement contributed positively to their experiences and well-being.
She loved the excitement of racing, the fun of camping, and enjoyed relaxing with word find books or catching up on her favorite show, General Hospital.
Lori leaves behind many broken hearts, including her beloved mother, Bonnie Mattson; her daughter, Cortney Mattson; and her treasured granddaughters, Ella and Sophia Mattson. She is also survived by her fiancé, Monte Koehler; her sister, Teresa (Larry) Bectal; her brother, Mark (Laura) Mattson; her best friend, Kim Williams; and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends who will miss her deeply.
Lori is now reunited in peace with her daughter, Katie, and her father, Harold Mattson.
A celebration of Lori’s life will take place on Monday, May 19, 2025, at Ever Rest Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 3:00 PM, followed by a memorial service at 3:00 PM, officiated by Pastor Carlos Ramos.
Lori’s warmth, strength, and love will remain in the hearts of all who knew her.
