Marilyn went on to marry Clayton Swanger, and the couple would have many wonderful years together. The couple had four children Jeffrey Swanger, Brenda Swanger, Cathie (Swanger) Funke, and Jason Swanger together. They lived together in Cascade Michigan for many years and retired in Port St. Lucie, Florida. She worked as a caregiver for many years. She loved to travel and see new things, she most enjoyed going on cruises. She would take her kids on many picnics all the time. She spent endless days and hours at the beach. Marilyn held many hobbies throughout her life, but her favorite was her grandkids and great-grandkids. Being a true woman of her time, Marilyn would always budget her money, she even separated it into separate envelopes. You would often hear her whisper “when the sun is out”, so the sun wouldn’t go away, she loved the warm sunny days. Marilyn would always say you could never say “goodbye” it was always “see ya later”, think of this as just another “see you later”. She was a wonderful wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend. Marilyn touched so many lives and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
