

Mary was born February 4, 1954, the biological daughter of John Sloan and Carol Carr. Mary was raised by Jimmy and Robert Carr. She was blessed with three children in her life, all of which were the center of her world. Her biggest joy in life were her kids and grandkids. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, going to yard sales (“poppin’ tags”), knitting, basket weaving, being in the sun, and cards and cocktails with her friends. The majority of her career was spent working at the Department of Corrections as a Correctional Officer. She was a feisty, loving, caring and strong woman who will be deeply missed.
Mary is survived by: her children, Bryan (Hector) Pleimling-Luevano; and Michelle Pleimling; close friend/sister, Margaret Bernard; grandchildren, RJ, Shaun, Brandon, Nate, Hannah, two fur grand babies, Kiki and Fin and her beloved Bella; father, John (Connie) Sloan; brothers, John and David; sisters, Kay, Karen, Ann, Paula, Jean and Theresa; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by: son, Bobby; her biological mother, Carol Carr; and parents, Jimmy and Robert Carr.
A celebration of Mary’s life will take place from 4:00-7:00 PM on Monday, December 20, 2021 at Ever Rest Funeral Home and Cremation Chapel 1783 E Keating Avenue Muskegon.
