Mary was born January 26, 1950, the daughter of Robert Moore and Barbara Davis. She graduated from Mona Shores High School. She married William Weimer on October 2, 1976. Mary was a very intelligent woman, earning three masters’ degrees from Western Michigan University. She taught English and various other courses at Dollar Bay, Muskegon Business College, Muskegon Community College, the prison in Muskegon and White Lake Baptist School. She worked at Teledyne and International Aid as well as for the Fruitport Area News. She enjoyed reading, crosswords, knitting, bird watching, and spontaneous car rides. Mary was an energetic, positive and confident woman with a great sense of humor. She will be deeply missed.
Mary is survived by: her husband, William; children, Rob (Rachel), Jason (Michelle), and William; grandchildren, Justin, Andrew, and Kayla; and brother, William Moore.
A funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm on Friday, August 20, 2021 at First Congregational Church, 3212 Pontaluna Rd., Fruitport, with Rev. Tom Case officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the start of the service at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to Harbor Hospice or to International Aid.
