She was preceded in death by her parents Robert Randall, Catherine "Kay"
(Cameron) Randall and her younger brother Robert "Bob" Randall Jr.
Pat is survived by her husband Don Walt, sister Laurie (Randall) Riggs and
daughter Caren (Walt) Matlock
She obeyed the Gospel and was baptized on February 2, 1959 (13 years old).
She was a Member of the National Honor Society in high school.
Pat met Don after they graduated from Westbury High School in Houston, TX
and Don was on active duty in the USAF stationed in Colorado. They were
married February 6, 1971 in Houston.
In her working career, she first worked at Humble Oil (1964) as a secretary
for 8 years, and then was a stay at home mom for 6 years. She then worked
at a home/auto insurance brokerage in Spokane (1979). Later she returned to
the same insurance office as an insurance agent (1992) for 6 years (until
1998). She retired due to eye strain from computer operation. This
provided opportunity for her have Bible studies.
In health, she was diagnosed with breast cancer in January 1991 and after
mastectomy and six months of chemo, was in remission for 11 years. The same
cancer returned in 2003 on the spine, and she was in various forms of
treatments until 2014.
After marriage in Houston, TX in 1971, she and Don lived at Denver, CO;
Sumter, SC; Anchorage, AK; Spokane, WA; Washington DC; Grand Forks, ND;
Misawa, Japan; Biloxi, MS, back to Spokane, WA; and finally Fruitport, MI.
Pat's life-long focus was on serving the Lord and the Lord's people. She
was blessed with loving church families in every place she lived. At each
new place, her love of the Lord encouraged and edified many of the
Christians along with others.
She enjoyed fellow shipping with church families, daily Bible reading
(super important), telling jokes, watching old clean movies.
