Patrick was born to Ronald and Dorothy Shanty on March 17, 1940. He and his wife Kathie Shanty moved from Toledo, Ohio about ten years ago to be with Patrick's loving family. Patrick cherished camping every late spring to early fall at Whiskey Creek, sitting by the campfire enjoying conversation with his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Kathie; His siblings: Shirley and Tom Skeels, Tom Shanty, Gail and Chris Thompson, Donnie and Rita Shanty, Dorene Shanty, Tom Vanden Heuvel, Barb and Ken Wise; Step-sons Mark Bigelow, Shawn Crozier; Grandchildren Matthew and Andrea Bigelow, Ben and Mary Bigelow; Five great-grandchildren.
The family will be gathering privately.
