Mrs. Renee Lenora Britton, age 79, went to her home in heaven on March 7, 2017. She was born in Muskegon on December 23, 1937 to Raymond and Lenora Carlson, and lived in Muskegon the majority of her life with her dad and her step-mother Dorothy, and brothers Kurt and Ric. Renee married Ernie Britton on December 23, 1957 on her 20th birthday. She was a stay-at-home mom that supported her children and husband throughout their years. She enjoyed reading, sewing, and knitting. Her family consists of her loving husband of 59 years, Ernie; Her children: Laurie (Mark) Gable, Brenda Jensen, Robin (Fred) Schmidt, Scott Britton, and Tony Britton; 6 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 3 nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her son Scotty. Funeral services will be Saturday, March 11, 2017, at 2:00pm at Ever Rest Funeral Home and Chapel in Muskegon. The family will greet visitors an hour prior to services.
