Richard Gifford age 76 passed away on Monday, August 27. 2012. Richard was preceded in death by his wife of 43 years, Ida Belle Gifford. He is survived by his children Gary (Sharon) DeRuiter and George (Tammy) DeRuiter; several grand and great-grandchildren including Dawn (Scott) Ralya. Richard was a veteran of the United States Army serving during the Vietnam War, he was retired from CWC. He was an outdoorsman enjoying both hunting and fishing. Richard really appreciated hearing the “dinner bell.” Visitation will be held at the Ever Rest Funeral Home and Chapel, on Thursday, August 30, 2012 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Military Honors will follow at Egelston Township Cemetery, where Richard will be buried next to his wife Ida Belle. Memorial contributions may be directed to the West Michigan Veterans Inc.
