Timothy Wayne Barrett

Timothy Wayne Barrett died peacefully in his sleep at his home on Monday, November 30, 2015 at the age of 53. He was born August 16, 1962 in Frankfurt, Germany to the late Orson and Jeannette (Keller) Barrett, and returned with his family to the U.S. at the age of 2 and lived in West Michigan for the remainder of his life. He was a 1981 graduate of Holton High School and worked for Shaw-Walker (Knoll) for almost 30 years. An avid outdoorsman, Tim enjoyed spending his free time hunting and fishing, but more than anything he appreciated spending time with his close family and friends.

Tim was preceded in death by his parents, his brother David Barrett and his brother William Barrett. He will be lovingly remembered by many, including his two sons, Aaron (Kim) Barrett of Ann Arbor, and Matthew (Shannon) Barrett of Muskegon, and their mother Rita Mcconaughy of Montague; his grandson Brennan; his two brothers, Kenneth and Clifford (Judy); his sister in law Sue Barrett; his cousin and close friend Will Pollock; his friends Ronald Six and Russ White; and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Tim’s family wishes to extend an invitation to a memorial luncheon on Sunday, December 20 from 1:00-5:00 pm at the American Legion Post 69, located at 803 E. Colby St. Whitehall, MI 49461. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to Brennan’s college fund.
