Tim was born on August 13th, 1970 to Robert Hugh Slaughter and Doris Rainbolt at Hackley Hospital in Muskegon Mi. He had many occupations over the course of his life; carnivals and ice cream truck driving were two of his most memorable jobs. He had some epic scars on his arms from working with dry ice as an ice cream driver.
Tim loved to talk on the CB radio. His handle names were Bad Bandit and Big Body. Tim found belonging in the CB community and frequently invested in equipment to talk to people near and far. We will always remember Tim for his extraordinary tall antenna on almost every vehicle he owned. Tim was a man of faith, especially over the last couple of years. He was nomad at heart and did his best to stay on the move at all times. Timmy always enjoyed some friendly competition. He was familiar with many card games and he especially loved dominoes. A bad bandit at heart, Tim loved poker but was often caught red handed with a bad hand. Tim loved a good bargain and sought out affordable deals. He was quite fond of goulash, no bake cookies, Mountain Dew, and stuffed hash browns from the Getty Street Grill. Tim loved a cheap pack of cigarettes so much so he would drive to Indiana to get the cheapest price. Tim was always down for family reunion, often advocating for corn hole tournaments and potlucks.
In his last days, Tim decided to marry his longtime friend and girlfriend Geraldine Osborne, after having said he would never marry again. Tim loved his family and would fight anyone who wished his family harm. He was loyal and stubborn, a true friend to whomever.
He survived by his wife, Geraldine Slaughter; mother, Doris Rainbolt; siblings, Wayne Slaughter, Robert (Donna) Slaughter, Danny Slaughter, Sally (Matthew) Grant, Sarah (Seth) Burke, step-siblings, June (Scott) Wildfong, and Samantha (Cameron) Lohman; nieces and nephews, Felicia (Brandon), Jessica (Mike), Ashley (Joel), Dan, Matt, Kelsi, Tori, Emily (Austin), Michael, Warren, Mya, Joshua, and Mason; and his great nieces and nephews; Landon, Julian, Thea, Margaret, Olivia and Alaina.
He was proceeded in death by his father Robert Hugh Slaughter Jr., stepfather, Patrick Gene Rainbolt, grandparents, Robert Hugh Slaughter Senior, and Daisy Wallace, Clyde and Emily Burrington (Hurd).
You will be missed dearly and we will do our best to keep the family gatherings going.
A service to celebrate Tim's life will be Friday, March 10, 2023, 11:00am, at Ever Rest Funeral Home and Chapel. 1783 E. Keating Ave., Muskegon. Visitation will be from 10:00am until the time on Friday March 10 at the funeral home.
