With heartbreaking sorrow we announce the death of Almer after a long courageous battle with prostate cancer. Predeceased by daughter Marla, he will be missed terribly by his wife Laverne, daughter Sheila (Glen), granddaughter Brooklyn, grandson Matthew Doucette (Iva) and great granddaughter Elenor. He was a kind, loving and gentle man who had a heart of gold and a great sense of humor. Over the years he enjoyed boating and fishing, he was happiest when he was out on the ocean in his boat. He also enjoyed many great camping trips with family and friends. He worked at Western Forest Products in Ladysmith for many years. Almer believed in Jehovah's promise of the resurrection hope brought out at John 5:28 and 29. Finally your horrible suffering is over our darling and you will be healthy again when you return. "Love and miss you so much".
