It is with great sadness and sorrow that we say goodbye to our beautiful & loving daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. She's been called back to fly freely among the angels.
Corri was born and happily embraced, on December 2, 1970, in the University of Edmonton Hospital. She was the eldest of two children and was a great big sister. Corri and family had a more diverse living situation than most. Many years were spent living in various places all over Alberta, and even traveled across the world to lay some roots in Malta and Libya. The majority of her adolescents was spent in Millet, Ab, where there was always shenanigans to get into, and no shortage of fun to be had.
Corri was small in size, but feisty in nature. That is what made her a great athlete! She played hockey from the time she was ten and continued to play well into her twenties. She was a fabulous ballplayer, won awards for rollerblading, a fantastic skier, and on the more graceful side, she performed ballet and loved to dance.
Corri loved animals and everything and everyone, from all walks of life. She gave everyone she met the same warmth that she held in her heart. She was generous & kind, and had a zest for life, regardless of the many obstacles in her way. She had compassion & empathy, and a beautiful non-judgemental spirit which was unlike any other. She was a beaming light when she entered a room and could make anyone laugh. She was a loving mother, and taught her sons many great life lessons. A lot of her wonderful and amazing qualities was instilled into her two boys. She will forever be in our hearts and never forgotten.
She leaves behind many weeping hearts including, her son, Jayden Croteau (Barbara Sparrow & grandson Orin) her son Evan Croteau King (father Rob King), step children Mike & Candice Schwab (father Rick Schwab), brother Jason (his sons Tabias and Corbin Croteau), and her parents, Randy and Anke Croteau. Also Left behind to mourn are her uncle’s Glenn Croteau, Micheal (Lori Tchir), Edwin Oltmanns, Arnie Oltmanns and her aunties Hannelore White, Diana (Lindsey Taylor), Brenda Tchir, and Susie Lindberg. She was predeceased by her grandparents Florence Croteau, Mike Tchir, Herbert and Chrystal Oltmanns, her uncle’s Rudy Oltmanns, George Oltmanns, Daryl Croteau, and Gary Croteau. She will be missed by numerous cousins and all her friends.
Due to Covid restrictions, a small private ceremony will be held at a later date.
