Born in Victoria, she spent her early youth in Esquimalt before moving to Campbell River. Later she and her husband Bill moved to Langley, where they resided until retirement. They then moved to Nanaimo, to be back on Vancouver Island, closer to family.
She was known as "Nanny" by so many younger people she interacted with over the last half of her life. She became the embodiment of "Grandma" for so many people, who will have many wonderful memories of how she enriched their lives. Her greatest joy was being able to spoil her grandchildren and great grandchildren who have so many fond memories of their "Nanny". They will dearly miss her but will have the love and support she bestowed on them to carry them forward.
She also loved helping look after the many hockey billets who shared our home. She helped provide them with caring and nonjudgmental support. They will always remember the freshly ironed clothes and the chocolate surprises they would often find in their shirt pockets.
Predeceased by her parents, Les and Jean Greene, her husband Bill, her son Douglas, and her sister Joan. She is survived by her first husband; Earl, her children; Butch, (Lupita), Vivian (Brian}, and Rodney; her sister Marion (Bruce); her grandchildren Kristin (Doug), Stephen (Amber), Justin (Erin), Bradley, Kevin; her great grandchildren; Connor, Mackinley, Alayna, Casen, Rae, and Riley, as well as her niece and nephews, Len, Bob and Sheila.
As per her wishes she will be reunited with her husband Bill, Resting in Peace in Maymont Saskatchewan.
