Ernest was born on June 26, 1930 in McLaughlin, Alberta to Ernest Clark Conarroe Sr and Edna (Yerex) Conarroe. He attended Victoria Highschool class of 1949, then worked as a Supervisor at BC Assessment Authority for most of his career retiring to work as a property assessor for a real estate company where he was affectionately referred to as “the Old Guy”. Ernie was a loving husband, wonderful father, fantastic grandfather, dedicated brother and true friend. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and boating. Ernie was also a beekeeper and shared his love of bees by presenting “Bee Talks” at some of the local schools. He also loved to take photographs, write poems and make photo videos of every life event. Ernie was a dedicated member of his church Parksville Fellowship Baptist and took part in the morning prayer and men's groups. He also volunteered at both Camp Imadene and the Salvation Army where he played trombone in the Salvation Army Band. Ernie was always willing to lend a helping hand to family, friends and neighbors and his presence will be missed.
A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 pm on Sept 25, 2022 at Parksville Baptist Church, with a light Tea reception to follow. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Ernie's life. A special thank you to Vancouver Island Health Authority for the wonderful caregivers and staff who attended to him at home and also for the dedicated friends and family who visited and prayed during this time. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in his memory to Parksville Fellowship Baptist Church.
