With great sadness our family announces that Jaden Xavier Dawe was lost to us September 17, 2023. Jaden was born June 30, 1998, in Nanaimo to proud parents Sylvia Andre and Stephen Dawe. From the beginning of his life Jaden loved bright colours, loud music, and making people laugh. He was adored by both his parents and was always open to an adventure. Jaden was a huge part of our family, he was a son, grandson, big brother, cousin, and all-around great athlete. Jaden had a heart of pure gold and the spirit of a champion. He was so many things to our family, and his loss will be deeply felt throughout time. His amazing light burned bright, unfortunately, we only got 25 years. Jaden, you will be missed from now until eternity and you will be loved until the end of time. In the immortal words of Winnie the Pooh: How lucky were we to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard, in our hearts forever my sweet Janeau.
One mistake doesn’t define a lifetime of love, if you or anyone you know uses drugs, even casually, please encourage them to reach out for information, help, and support. Our families only hope is that this tragedy will maybe help others take back their lives.
Jaden was survived by parents Stephen (Amanda) and Sylvia (Mich), brothers Owen and Gavin, grandparents Catherine Dawe (Marshall), Stephen Dawe Sr. (Jill), Claudette Parsons (Myles), Richard McLean (Sissy), Great Grandparents Marie Heudes (Guy), Sylvia Dorman, and Phyllis Remple. Jaden is also survived by countless Aunts, Uncles, Great Aunts, Great Uncles, and Cousins to numerous to mention. He was loved by all that knew him.
