Marge Martin

Marge Martin, passed away peacefully on October 19, 2022, surrounded by her family. Marge will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 51 years Wayne, children Steven (Rhonda), Stacey (Daniel) and Kelly (Julie), four Grandsons (Cory, Kevin, Jaxson and Lincoln) and two Great Grandchildren (Parker and Hailey)

Born in Sarnia Ontario on June 11, 1953. Raised by loving parents Martin and Betty Amiabel, Marge married Wayne Martin February 10, 1971 and raised their three children in Calgary, Alberta. Marge and Wayne moved to Didsbury, Alberta in 2004 and achieved their lifelong dream of moving to Vancouver Island in 2019.

Family and friends were especially important to Marge, and all were welcomed into her home as long as they followed a few simple rules.

With the shared passion for gardening Marge and Wayne always had one of the most attractive yards in the neighborhood. Marge enjoyed her many travels, but the trip made to Europe in 2002 to visit family was the one she held closest to her heart.

Marge’s final act of kindness was the gift of sight as she left a legacy by becoming a donor to the BC Eye Bank.

It is time to rest now Mom, you are forever loved.

We will be gathering in Alberta Spring 2023 to celebrate and share some of our favorite memories and stories, to laugh, to cry and to remember Marge who is greatly missed.

The family would like to thank all the professionals who helped Marge during this final chapter of her journey. Dr. Otte, Dr. King, Dr. Robinson, Dr. Cody and the incredible team at Nanaimo Palliative Care.
