It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Michael Glen Feeley, who passed away on April 6th, 2023 in Nanaimo B.C., at the age of 59. Michael was born on April 9th, 1963 in Ottawa Ontario; moving to B.C. in 1986, living a full and meaningful life. Leaving behind his daughter Kathryn, and ex wife Alison to mourn his passing. Survived by his mum Norma, brothers Mark(Janet), and Philip(Betty). Pre-deceased by his sister Janet, brother in law Frank, and Dad Malcolm. He was an animal lover and treasured his beloved labrador Sophie. Above all else, Michael's greatest joy was being a father to his daughter Kathryn.
Michael was a loyal fan of the Ottawa Senators hockey team, never missing a game; he loved Nascar, watching the history channel, riding his Harley, travelling, and walking the dog with his daughter. Michael spent his downtime feeding wild bunnies with his daughter, always saying all life was precious. His favourite bands were AC/DC, Supertramp, Black Sabbath, and most of all Jimi Hendrix. Michael worked at Home Depot in Nanaimo for 19yrs in several positions throughout his career, making many friends along the way. One of Michaels favourite sayings was “this burns my ass”.
Michael touched the lives of many with his infectious and outspoken energy; he had a great mind, and was always discussing new ideas. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of his loved ones. Family and friends all hope that he has at last found the peace that eluded him during the latter stages of his life. Rest in peace, Michael, Mikey, dad, daddio, son, bugger.
