Muriel Alberta Matte passed away peacefully with her younger daughter Debra by her bedside. Muriel was born in Battle Lake, Alberta. She is pre-deceased by her husband of 68 years, Philip Matte (2018); her daughter-in-law Jacqueline (2009); her son, Richard (2013); her daughter, Gail (2025). She is survived by her daughter Debra (Ron) Postey, 8 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. She leaves behind a sister, Jean (Lou) and Peggy (Gordon). Muriel had a life filled with lots of music, laughter and love. She died listening to an old tape that not only played songs sung long ago by her husband, her 3 children but also heard the laughter shared by her family as they teased each other. We are looking forward to seeing you again mom when Jesus returns and you are fully restored in mind and body. We will then all sing together with the angels.
