Weldonna Zee Houston

With loving memories, we sadly announce Donna passed away peacefully in her home on March 2nd, with her loving husband Jamie & trusted fur baby Zona by her side, after a short battle with lung disease (IPF).

Donna is survived by Jamie, her beloved husband of 37 years, her fur baby Zona, mother Zee, sister Carla (Bliss), brothers-in-law Drew (Katherine), Ian (Helen) along with numerous nieces and nephews. Donna was predeceased by her father Weldon.

Donna began her illustrious hairdressing career at the young age of 18 & used her “magic wand” working at several hair salons before starting her own business. Donna continued her love of hairdressing while semi-retiring, which allowed her to work part-time from home, keeping her creativity active & enjoying the social aspects of clients.

Being semi-retired allowed Donna to pursue her other loves of travel and sailing with Jamie and they enjoyed many trips in the sun, creating a lifetime of memories.

Donna was a flea market connoisseur! She loved to introduce people to the art of finding ‘hidden treasures’ and always seemed to find the gems.

A true gem herself, her compassion, kindness and wit will be dearly missed by her family, friends, clients and fellow ‘snowbirds’; but in true Donna fashion, she’s never really gone, the next time you raise your glass of whiskey, she’ll be there.
