She is survived by a large loving family, including her mom, her dad, her two sisters, Allison Tolar and Shannon Talton, her niece and nephew Rory and Phoenix Gutierrez, and an extended Spahlinger family.
Amanda was an adventurous, free-spirited, and creative girl who touched many lives in her short time here. She traveled all over the country and collected friends wherever she went. She cherished her time in Gainesville, Fargo, Providence, Minneapolis, and Seattle. She always found her place in a community full of friends and dogs and music and fun.
She was a brilliant artist in various quirky mediums (printmaking, chain-mail jewelry, carefully curated CDs with personal artwork inserts) and created little treasures for those closest to her. Amanda was a music connoisseur, with a deep and wide breadth of knowledge in all genres. She was an avid, almost compulsive reader with impeccable taste in books. She loved baking and plants and animals and she adored her mom’s cooking. She loved goofing off with her niece, Rory.
Amanda is so much more than we can put into words. She was so incredibly smart and funny and special and different. Everyone who knew her understands what we mean. Helene, Allison and Shannon would love to hear from her friends. We would appreciate any stories and pictures of Amanda from those who loved her.
