She was born in Comerio, Puerto Rico on January 27, 1920 and graduated from Comerio Business School before working as a Substitute Teacher. She was married to Jose Collazo who passed away on January 22, 1979. Amelia had a passion for sewing and ceramic arts.
She is survived by her 2 children, Letty Murphy and Migdalia Berrios; 11 Grandchildren; 20 Great Grandchildren; 2 Great-Great Grandchildren; 3 Sisters and 1 Brother.
Visitation Hours will be held at Hodges Funeral Home at Naples Memorial Gardens on Sunday May 15th, 2016 from 3-5pm & 6-9pm. A Funeral Mass will take place at Saint John the Evangelist Catholic Church on Monday May 16th, 2016 at 10am.
