Anne Harris Donald

Anne Harris Donald passed away peacefully on October 17, 2023. She was born in Raleigh, NC on February 25, 1931 and was one of six children born to Mary and Jack Harris. She was a graduate of Hugh Morson High School and William Peace University in Raleigh, NC. She was employed as an Executive Secretary with the Sperry & Hutchison Company for many years.

Anne was married to her loving husband, Paul Donald for 57 years and is survived by her husband and their six children: Cynthia Jordan (Kenneth) of Youngsville, NC, Glenn White (Catherine) of Raleigh, NC, Jan Donald of Beaverton, OR, Mike Donald of Portland, OR, Ken Donald (Rose) of Portland, OR, and Steve Donald (D’Ann) of Portland, OR. She also leaves nine grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. She is survived by her brother James Harris of Walnut Cove, NC.

Anne served for many years as a volunteer and board member of the Pastoral Counseling Service of Columbus, OH and with Hospice Services of Columbus, Meals on Wheels and several social organizations. She enjoyed playing bridge and Mahjong, golfing and travelling. She was a faithful member of the First Presbyterian Church of Bonita Springs. Her life was greatly enriched by the love and care of her husband, family and many friends. She was a lovely person, a wonderful mother and a devoted wife.

A memorial service will be held at a later date with internment in the Resurrection Gardens at the First Presbyterian Church of Bonita Springs.
