Brenda Mae Hernandez

Brenda was born in Columbus, Ohio to Harriet and Donald Holcomb on October 22, 1951. She went to school in London, Ohio. She married Jose Hernandez on December 16, 1978, in Naples, Florida. She graduated from nursing school and attended Edison Community College. She worked as an LPN for Naples Community Hospital for several years.

Brenda is preceded in death by her parents Harriet and Donald Holcomb, her son Cisco Hernandez, her siblings and their spouses Donald Holcomb Jr. and Janie Holcomb, Vickie Holcomb, and Glenn Holcomb, her daughter-in-law Tammy Smith, and her grandson Warren Smith, her mother-in-law Corina Hernandez, her father -in-law Luis Hernandez, and her brothers-in-law Mark Gabriel, Martin Hernandez, Jesse Hernandez, Richard Seifert, and Luis Hernandez.

Brenda is survived by her husband Jose Hernandez, 2nd: her sons Brent Smith and Michael Hernandez, her siblings and spouses Victor Holcomb and Johanna Holcomb, Carol Ropp and Eric Cline, Dale Holcomb, her brothers and sisters-in law including souses Maria G (Lupe) and John Kulig, Penny Hernandez, Janie and Lupe Martinez, Arturo and Rosie Hernandez, Yolanda Herrera, Maria and Carlos Perez, Rita Seifert, and Anita and Alan Forrest, and granddaughter Sarah Smith.

Visitation will be held 9:00 AM-11:00 AM, Thursday, May 21, 2026 at Hodges Funeral Home at Naples Memorial Gardens, 525 111th Ave N, Naples, Florida 34108 followed by the Funeral Mass at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 625 111th Ave N, Naples, Florida 34108.
