Christopher J. Payson, 50, of Fort Myers, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 15, 2014, surrounded by his family and friends. He was born on February 3, 1964, in Hackensack, NJ, the son of the late Peter A. Payson and the late Gretchen (Weinfurtner) Payson. Chris spent most of his life in Naples, attended Lely High School ’82, University of Findlay and The University of Florida. He was employed by Raymond James as a Financial Advisor. Chris was an avid golfer and enjoyed traveling and skiing in Colorado. Chris is survived by his two children, Michael and Jordan, who brought great joy to him, his brother Michael, and countless friends. A celebration of life service will be held at Hodges Funeral Home at Naples Memorial Gardens 525 111th Avenue N, Naples on Saturday, November 22, 2014 at 6:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to The Preston Robert Tisch Brain Tumor Center at Duke, DUMC Box 3624, Durham, NC 27710 or Hope Hospice, Development Office, 9470 Health Park Circle, Fort Myers, FL 33908.
