Daniela Elizabeth Egas Bejar M.D.

Egas, Daniela Elizabeth, 43, of Guayaquil, Ecuador, passed away on February 19, 2022, surrounded by family and supported by friends. Our hearts are heavy, but we know she is enjoying heaven looking down upon us after her courageous fight against cancer.

Daniela was preceded in death by her beloved grandma, Teresa. She is survived by her husband of 13 years, Jose Ruben Valle; her children Ruben Eliezer, Daniel Andres, and Christopher Jose Valle Egas; by her parents Ruben and Fabiola, and siblings Fabiola, Maria Fernanda, and Hector; and by her nieces and nephew.

Daniela, or Dani to her family and close friends was born in Guayaquil, Ecuador. She graduated from Universidad Catolica Santiago de Guayaquil, Summa cum Laude, and received exceptional training in Pediatrics at Miami Children’s Hospital, and later in Pediatric Hematology Oncology at the University of Texas, MD Anderson Cancer Center. After finishing her fellowship, she joined Kidz Medical and moved to Naples, Florida. Daniela was board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics with a subspecialty in pediatric hematology and oncology. As the only pediatric hematology oncologist in Collier County, Dani fought Pediatric Cancer and hematological issues in Naples and Southwest Florida for many years. She was recognized as “Best Doctors” by her peers and always went above and beyond to help others. Daniela will always be remembered with love by the children and families she took care of. She guided them through the most challenging times in their lives and treated them as if they were her own.

Daniela loved to teach and was a pharmacology teacher for many years at her medical school. She loved learning different languages and was fluent in six. Above all, Dani loved to spend time with her devoted husband and children. Although she wore many hats, her most important priority was always being a great mom. Dani loved to play board games with Ruben, Daniel, and Christopher. She liked the pool, beach weekends, and a good laugh with her family and friends. Daniela loved traveling with her family, and she will always live on through her amazing children and husband.

Daniela was also a devout catholic. Her faith was never lost and her prayers to the Virgin of Guadalupe will always be kept in our minds. Our hearts are heavy on earth for her early departure, but we understand that God needs angels in heaven to help.

A visitation for Daniela will be held Wednesday, February 23, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Hodges Funeral Home At Naples Memorial Gardens, 525 111th Ave N, Naples, Florida 34108. A mass of christian burial will occur Thursday, February 24, 2022 at 11:00 AM at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 625 111th Ave N, Naples, Florida 34108.

Daniela will be laid to rest in Hodges Funeral Home at Naples Memorial Gardens, 525 111th Ave N, Naples, FL 34108-1823.

familia y apoyada por muchos amigos. Daniela tuvo una valiente lucha contra el cáncer. Nuestros corazones están apesadumbrados, pero sabemos que ella está disfrutando del cielo y mirándonos.

Daniela fue precedida en la muerte por su amada abuela, Teresa. Le sobrevive su esposo

de 13 años, Jose Ruben Valle, hijos Ruben Eliezer, Daniel Andres, y Christopher Jose Valle

Egas. También le sobreviven sus padres Ruben y Fabiola y sus hermanos Fabiola, Maria

Fernanda y Héctor y sus sobrinas y sobrino.

Daniela, o Dani para su familia y amigos cercanos, nació en Guayaquil, Ecuador. Ella se graduó

de la Universidad Católica Santiago de Guayaquil como Suma cum Laude, y tuvo excepcional

formación en Pediatría en Miami Children’s Hospital, y posteriormente en Hematología Oncología Pediátrica en el Centro Oncológico MD Anderson de la Universidad de Texas en Houston, Texas. Después de terminar con su especialidad se unió a Kidz Medical y se mudó a Naples, Florida. Daniela fue certificada por American Board of Pediatrics con una subespecialidad en hematología y oncología pediátrica.

Dani luchó contra el cáncer pediátrico y problemas hematológicos en Naples en el suroeste de Florida durante más de 6 años. Era la única oncóloga hematológica pediátrica en el condado de Collier. Daniela siempre será recordada en la mente de los niños y las familias que cuidó. Los guió a través del momento más difícil de sus vidas y los trató como si fueran suyos. Siempre estuvo ahí para sus pacientes, y sus compañeros la reconocieron como "Best Doctor".

A Daniela le encantaba enseñar y fue profesora de farmacología durante muchos años en su facultad de medicina.

Le encantaba aprender diferentes idiomas y hablaba con fluidez 6 idiomas. Sobre todo, a Dani le encantaba pasar tiempo con su devoto esposo e hijos. Llevaba muchas camisas; como pediatra, hematologa oncologa pediatra, sin embargo su prioridad más importante siempre fue ser una gran mamá. A Dani le encantaba jugar juegos de mesa con Ruben, Daniel y Christopher. Le gustaba la piscina, los fines de semana en la playa y reírse mucho con su familia y amigos. A Daniela le encantaba viajar con su familia y siempre vivirá a través de sus increíbles hijos y esposo.

Daniela también era una católica devota. Su fe nunca se perdió y sus oraciones a la Virgen de

Guadalupe siempre estará en nuestra mente. Nuestros corazones están pesados en la tierra por su temprana partida pero entendemos que Dios necesita algunas buenas personas en el cielo para ayudarlo.
