He married Kathy Garland Holmes on October 15, 1995.
David is survived by his wife, Kathy Garland Holmes; former wife, Mary E. Holmes; son, Andrew David Holmes; grandson, Aaron Daniel Holmes; and daughter-in-law, Erica Jane Holmes.
