

It is with great sadness that the family of Doris Kae Turner announces that she gained her eternal wings on November 20, 2023 with her loved ones by her side. Doris was born to Frances G. and George F. Belyea in Sommerville, Massachusetts on October 17, 1936. After moving with her family to Naples, Florida in 1953, Doris met the love of her life, Leslie E. “Duke” Turner while attending Naples High School. It was love at first sight, and the couple wed on June 14, 1955.
Doris was preceded in death by her son, Paul Bryan Turner; her parents, Frances G. and George F. Belyea; her brother, George Belyea; and three of her sisters, Beverly Sweet, Janice Walker, and Marsha Belyea.
She is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, Leslie E. “Duke” Turner; her son, Leslie “Les” E. Turner, Jr. and his family, Lauren Turner and Andrew Morris and their children, Olivia and Caroline Turner Morris, Lisa and Roland Maddox and their children, Greyson and Bryson Maddox, Lance and Hillary Turner and their children, Aubrey and Natalie Turner, and Logan and Joshua Kovacic. Doris is also survived by her daughter, Carol Turner and her family, Whitney and Clay Kelly and their daughter, Rachel Kelly. Her surviving siblings are Kathy Winkler, Barbara Belyea, and Steve Belyea along with his wife Lynda.
Doris had a fulfilling life filled with various interests and meaningful connections. She had a passion for crafting and enjoyed spending time with her family, particularly her grandchildren. Additionally, she was actively involved in her community, demonstrating her dedication to making a positive impact. Her love for traveling allowed her to explore new places and create cherished memories. May her legacy live on through the impact she made on her loved ones and community.
The family warmly invites you to help them honor the beautiful life of Doris by attending her celebration of life ceremony on Saturday, December 2, 2023 at Hodges Funeral Home at Naples Memorial Gardens at 2pm. This celebration will be followed by food and fellowship as we share with each other memories created throughout the years. The graveside interment ceremony will follow our fellowship gathering at 4pm.
