Dorothy met the love of her life, Wally Hultman, while they were living and working in New York. They were married in October of 1950 and soon thereafter moved to Louisville, Kentucky, where they raised their four daughters. While in Louisville, Dorothy was an active member of Christ Church United Methodist and involved with many of its ministries including Wesley House.
In 1991, Dorothy and Wally began the next chapter of their life in Naples, Florida where they were very involved in their church and made lifelong friends in their much-loved San Marino community.
Love and devotion defined Dorothy’s life. She was beautiful inside and out, loved by everyone who knew her and always put the needs of others before her own. She loved offering her home as a gathering place for her family where everyone came to visit with their beloved Mimi.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters Lucille Conlin Horn and Jane Conlin Northridge. She is survived by her loving husband of 72 years Walter Charles Hultman and daughters Kathie Liebert, Betsy Wall (Harry), Susan Sanders (Scott), and Lisa Hultman. She also leaves behind her dear grandchildren Andrew Liebert, Kathryn Liebert, Callie Wall (Henry), Hank Wall (Ellen), Christopher Sanders (Jessie), Sarah Jane Sanders, Bill Rector, Sam Rector, John Rector and her great grandchildren Thomas Wall, Addison Sanders, and Aggie Wall. The family would also like to thank her many nieces and nephews, especially Lance and Rose Horn, who have been a great source of love and support throughout the years.
A memorial service will be held in Dorothy’s honor at 1:00pm on Saturday, February 18th, 2023, in the white chapel at North Naples Church, 6000 Goodlette-Frank Road North Naples, Florida 34109, with visitation prior to the service at 12:00pm in the narthex of the chapel.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to North Naples Church, 6000 Goodlette-Frank Road North Naples, Florida 34109 or St. Matthews House, 2601 Airport Rd South Naples, Florida 34112.
