Eleanor M. Hardman was born November 1, 1928 in Ashland, PA. Having grown up in Brooklyn, NY she graduated from Washington Irving High School in New York, NY. Eleanor married Robert E. Hardman on July 23, 1949.
Eleanor worked in the insurance industry in sales management. In addition to her work career, she was a soprano soloist and sang in many theatre productions and choirs. In Naples she sang with the Naples Philharmonic under Jim Cochrun, Naples Players Production, Shower Stall Opero, the First Baptist Living Christmas Tree as well as guest soloist for many local churches. She greatly enjoyed her cats, working crossword puzzles and going to the beach.
Eleanor was predeceased by her husband, Robert and her brother, Frank Mayer, Jr. Eleanor and Robert never had children but were very loving to their nieces and nephews and many friends. She leaves behind her beloved cat, Bubie.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 8th at 1:30 PM at Hodges Funeral Home at Naples Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Naples Humane Society.
