

She and her husband Bill lived in Nutley, NJ, then moved to Glen Ridge, where they raised their children and then to Montclair before moving to Naples in 1988.
She was a graduate of Barringer High School and Lyons Institute in Newark and had a long and successful career in the banking industry, working into her early 70’s. She began her career at Orange Savings Bank in NJ and later joined SunTrust in Naples as a Vice President and Private Banking Manager at the 5th Avenue office, where her diligent attention to client service earned her respect and commendation. Fran was a 1980 graduate of the Center for Financial Studies at Fairfield University in CT and completed the Leadership Collier Program in 2002 under the auspices of the Naples Area Chamber of Commerce, where she was an active volunteer for many years. She especially relished her participation in the Downtown Naples Festival of the Arts.
A lifelong lover of music, film, dancing and theatre, Fran attended many performances at the Artis and Gulfshore Playhouse in Naples right up until her final months.
Fran was predeceased by her beloved husband, William, her son William Jr. her daughter Carol Moran and her husband Tom, grandsons Dean and Duncan Moran, her sisters Joan Cestone and Dorothy Cardali, her brother Frank Lange and brothers -in-law Ralph Cestone and Charles Cardali, as well as a niece Lauren Simonutti.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Susan and Tom Lenci, granddaughters and spouses Brooke and Brandon Clark, Allie and Jon Bryan and Taylor and Michael Assaraf, granddaughter Erin Moran Tiernan, brother Joseph Lange and wife Jane, sister Ellen Vernotica and husband Gerald and sister Marge Lemehaute and husband Jim as sell as several nieces and nephews.
Among Fran’s greatest joys have been her great grandchildren, Noah, Ezra and Zoe Clark, Wesley, Sophie and Juniper Bryan and Milo and Levi Assaraf. She never forgot a birthday and showered them with gifts whenever she could. Her remarkable memory until the end was a constant source of delight and amazement for her family.
On a trip to Sanibel in 1987, Fran and Bill took a day trip to Naples and fell in love with the area and the weather. They initially lived in the Fairway Forest Community and she then moved to the Villages of Monterey, where she lived for nearly 30 years. Fran spent the last 3 years of her life at Aston Gardens in Naples, where she made many great friends and found a welcoming and caring community. She was a parishioner at St. Leo’s Church in Bonita Springs and enjoyed participating in all of the celebrations at Aston Gardens.
A service of remembrance will be held for her community at Aston Gardens later this month and her family will hold a celebration of her life in CT over the summer with interment at Oaklawn Cemetery in Fairfield, CT.
