He was a lifelong resident of VT before moving to Florida upon retirement. Hector was a widely known home builder and real estate developer in Chittenden County, VT for many years. He will probably be remembered by many as the driver of Car 59 at Thunder Road, Catamount Stadium, and the Canadian Circuit.
He is survived by his loving wife, Susan; and daughter's, Diana Cain/Carl, Sherry LeClair-Brooks/Dennis, Brenda LeClair-Kemp/Jim, and Cynthia LeClair-Maertens/Pete. He is also survived by Susan's son, Eric Lachance. He had eleven grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. He also leaves his brothers and sisters, their spouses, and children, Susan's brother's and sister, their spouses and children.
He was predeceased by his mother, Bernadette; father, Horace; brother, Gerard; son, Rickie; great grandson, Justin; and former wife, Norma Jean.
A Celebration of Life will be held in the Spring of 2026.
