Irene Dee

Irene was born on October 6th, 1936, in Fall River, MA, the daughter of Manual and Maria Lima. She attended local schools and graduated from Durfee High School. Irene married George Raposa soon after and they had a son Randy who passed away unexpectedly at the age of five. She was preceded in death by her parents, her late husband George, as well as her brothers Manual, John, George and Leo and sister Delia.

Irene worked for 23 years at Nyman Corporation in Massachusetts and 10 years as executive secretary/receptionist for Textron Corporation in Providence, Rhode Island. During this time, she made many great and close friends who will miss her greatly.

In 2008, Irene and Bob Dee met, both widowed and were married in 2009. Their marriage was a second opportunity for happiness and they were married for twelve years. Irene passed away on their 12th wedding anniversary. She was a snowbird at Crystal Lake resort in Naples, FL for 8 years and a permanent resident the last four.

Irene loved her place on the lake, the many friends she made and her well known love of all dogs. She never missed an event or dinner, dance or social gathering. She was a sweet and kind woman and a great hostess, always willing to help out.

She leaves behind her devoted husband and best friend Bob Dee as well as her many nieces and nephews. Irene will be interred with her son in Fall River. A memorial service will be held at a later time due to the pandemic.
