Jay L. Korn, MD, 89, passed on May 18, 2026 in Naples, FL. He was the beloved husband of Melanie Bacal Korn, MD; father of Tiara Korn Shoter (Neil) and Tyler Korn (Rebecca); grandfather of Gavin and Natalie Korn; and brother, uncle, and cousin to many. Early in his career, Dr. Korn served as a United States Naval Officer Physician. For the next 30 years he practiced geriatric internal medicine in Manhattan and was beloved by his patients. He resided in Atlantic Beach, NY until relocating to Florida, where he enjoyed the peacefulness and beauty of Naples. Drs. Korn recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. He will be greatly missed and will be remembered for his wisdom, judgment, goodness, and warm smile.
