We cannot believe that it's been a year since our dear friend Jamie is gone. We had so many great times together, and she is sorely missed. 💕

Here it is one year later and I truly miss Jamie.  She was a real friend and always willing to help, participate and just be around.

My deepest condolences to your family. for your loss.    Mrs. Quantmeyer was my gym teacher at NVOT, Class of 79.   She was kind, funny and such a wonderful role model for young women.   I will always remember her fondly.  She was a teacher that made a lifelong impression on her students.  I am grateful to see that she lived a long life and was still having fun in Florida during her retirement.   God Speed Mrs. Q!



What wonderful memories came back to me as I read the news of Mrs Quantmeyer, the great times chatting and laughing in the Gym office, there were some serious discussions but the laughs were endless! Thank you for being the teacher we could come to when we were in need! You will be truly missed.

A life well lived with a fullness of joy...Thank you Jeanie for sharing your life, love and laughter with my dad, James Nystrom, and the old River Edge gang. Jeanie made Dad's life brighter with her jokes, stories, remembrances and a couple of trips. They were good traveling companions along life's "train" since 2009 when my mom passed. We were saddened to hear of Jamie's passing.  She was a sweet, vivacious woman.  I had no idea she was 92!  We will miss seeing her in Sandpipers of Naples.

I'm so sorry to hear about your mom.  I have so many wonderful memories of her love touching my life - including her attempts to keep us mischievous kids in line to all those special Christmas Eve celebrations at your house (and her unmatched shortbread which I loved to "borrow" when visiting my parents until just a few years ago!).  While I saw her less frequently as the years went on, every encounter had the feeling of family reunion where no time had passed in between.  I know her passing leaves a unfillable hole in your family and yet the blessing she was for all of us who knew and loved her can never be taken away.  I'm sending lots of love to you all!

I will miss Jamie and I am glad she was part of my life for the last 18 years.  Will always remember her hearty laugh her always smile.  Jamie, I, and the Dunes group did many day trips  sharing camaraderie.   I will miss her.

I always have fond memories of your mom.  She was always there when we were growing up.  Vibrant and effervescent.  She will be missed by many.    May she rest in peace.   

I worked with Jamie for 17 years, sharing many school related events, as well as an office. In retirement, we both spent time in Naples, Florida and so would get together a couple of times a year, always with the Gaffins and Joyce Weir and her partner Ray. But one of my favorite memories of her goes back many years to a ski trip we were on in Colorado. Jamie unfortunately broke her leg early in the trip and was in the hospital. When they told her she could be released she said “no thanks” and stayed there the rest of the week because she had a great roommate, and the food was fabulous! Typical Jamie, always making lemonade out of lemons. She will be missed!

Jamie was a special friend to the entire Villas family and will be missed. She and Marie were steadfast friends who spoke every morning. We have so many beautiful cards, gifts and items scrolled in her calligraphy. She was also a wonderful teacher and coach and a highly respected member of the NVOT faculty. Condolences to the whole  Q family, which reaches far and wide.

From childhood my Aunt Jean was a central figure in my life.  My father's baby sister, our families spent almost every holiday together and she was always a bright, happy, positive presence.  As a young adult I was always made to feel welcome and she opened her home to all with enthusiasm and her youthful vigor.  I feel so blessed to have spent some time with her over these past few years - still energetic and upbeat every time I saw her.  She will be sorely missed by my family and all her many friends.  Much love to my cousins, Lynn, Allan, Glenn and Ellen.  How blessed we all were to have your mom for so many years.   Love, Jill and family
