Joan D Waite

Joan Deloris Waite of Naples, Florida, passed away on July 2, 2013 at Naples Community Hospital. She was born in Orland, Indiana on May 8, 1933, the daughter of the late Willis and Wilma Fifer. She was also predeceased by her husband Corwin A. Waite, her brother Alan Fifer, and two great grandchildren.

She resided in Naples since 1956. During Joan’s life in Naples her ministry was to be a Caregiver to many people. She furthered her education to become a CNA. This enabled her to not only help people but become their healthcare advocate. Whenever her family and friends needed her, she was always willing to help or give of her time. She will be dearly missed by everyone who knew her.

She is survived by her brother, Bill Fifer and sister, Judy Smoker both of Michigan; daughter, Pamella K. (Ed) Teaster; Sons: Russell W. (Nancy) Holaway, and JoGene Holaway, six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Family and Friends are invited to a Visitation on Monday, July 8, 2013 at Hodges Funeral Home at Naples Memorial Gardens at 11am until 12 noon. A Funeral Service will follow at 12noon.
