She was born January 8, 1924 in Lamont, Oklahoma the daughter of Joe and Edna Miller. She lived on the family farm in Lamont, Oklahoma and graduated from high school in Lamont and entered in to the Navy at the beginning of WWII. While serving in the Navy in California as an aid in the hospital she met Edward, her soon to be husband, who was recovering from injuries received from action in the South Pacific. After their marriage they moved to Chicago and later to Naples in 1969. Enjoying a long life in the sunshine, fishing, boating and living life in retirement.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and son, Gilbert Elias.
Joe is survived by her son, Raymond Elias and wife Deborah of Naples and daughter in law, Pam Elias.
A visitation for Joe will be held Thursday, February 20, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Hodges Funeral Home at Naples Memorial Gardens, 525 111th Ave N, Naples, FL 34108. Interment will take place in Naples Memorial Gardens.
