John Thomas Limes

John was born on November 18, 1928 to Thomas Gilbert Limes and Daisy Mae Rhoden in Dayton Ohio. John married his beloved wife, Elaine Limes on May 21, 1955 in Angola, Indiana.

John was a proud member of the United States Navy where he enlisted on July 8, 1948 and was honorably discharged on July 11, 1952. John received his certificate of completion from the Bureau of Naval Personnel Correspondence course in Aircraft Fuel Systems and served in the Korean War.

In high school, he received an apprenticeship in bricklaying and tool and die mechanics. John finished his civil servant career as a permit inspector for the Florida Department of Transportation.

On May 19 2019, John had the great honor of being a participant in the Collier Lee Honor Flight, Mission 19 taking a trip to Washington DC honoring the Veterans.
