Josephine "Mandy" Theresa Collins

Josephine ‘Mandy’ Theresa Collins age 98, of Naples, FL passed away on December 9th, 2021. Mandy proudly served in the US Army during WWII (1945-1946) where she was stationed in Manilla, Philippines at 4th General Hospital Burn Unit as a 1st Lt. Army Nurse. She met her husband, Donald Collins (1st Lt.) in the Philippines, and after the war they married on August 12th, 1946 in Enfield, CT. They then moved to New York state to run the operations of the Collins family (third generation) dairy farm in Honeoye Falls, NY. While helping with operating the family farm and raising a family of 4 children Mandy continued her career as a nurse up through 1982. Upon retirement Mandy and Donald relocated to Florida and also spent time enjoying their summer cottage in Chaffey Locks, Ontario, Canada.

Mandy is preceded by her parents, Guiseppi and Maria Emanuel; her sisters, Mary, Clara, Mabel, Connie and brother Joseph. Her husband, Donald E. Collins and daughter Deborah Collins Nowack.

She is survived by her children, Donald (Connie) Collins, Dale ‘Lani’ Collins, Diane (Bo) Collins; nine grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
