Katrine Jackson, 79, passed away peacefully on January 27, 2026, in Naples, Florida, after a long and hard-fought battle with cancer. Up until the very end, she maintained her kindness, grace, and deep love for her family.
Born in Graceville, Florida, Katrine lived a life defined by service, faith, and quiet strength. She worked for 25 years as an Administrative Assistant at the Ritz-Carlton Naples Beach Resort, where her dedication and warmth left a lasting impression on all who knew her. After retiring, she found joy in the simple, meaningful things—sewing, watching old movies, and most of all, spending cherished time with her children and grandchildren.
Katrine was strong in her faith in God and lived that faith daily through love, compassion, and selflessness. She was an exemplary mother and grandmother—the safe place to go when the world felt heavy, the soft shoulder to cry on, and the giver of hugs that somehow made everything feel okay again.
She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Lee Cartwright; her mother, Delphine Batson; her brother, Charles Cartwright; and her sister, Brenda Cartwright.
She is survived by her partner in life, Henry Jackson; her daughter, Elaine Gandia, and her husband, James; her son, Tyler Jackson, and his wife, Lisa; her nephews, Matthew Davis and John Michael Davis; as well as five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
