
After his graduation from high school he enlisted in the Navy during the Korean conflict, spending much of his enlisted time in Japan working on aircraft engines. After his military service, he returned to Florida where he attended the University of Florida, graduating with a degree in Electrical Engineering. He spent his career working for Florida Power & Light, where he retired as a District Engineer.
Lewis was a member of the Naples Church of Christ where he served in many capacities over the years, including Deacon and Sunday School teacher. He was an active member of the Naples North Rotary, serving as President from July 1994 thru June 1995. He was known for his great sense of humor and was a favorite speaker at roasts of fellow Rotarians with the theme always a tongue-in-cheek “Culture is Us.”
He was preceded in death by his wife of 69 years, Eleanor Berge Parks, who passed away on August 25, 2024, his daughter, Linda Kay Parks, his grandson, Ethan Agnoli and his brother, Charles Parks.
He is survived by his children, Nancy Agnoli and her husband Brian, Patty Hangen and her husband Dave and Russell Parks and his wife Kim, as well as six grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
