Lily is survived by her son Nelson Hernandez and his wife Maria Feliciano, by her son Daniel Hernandez and his wife Luz Hernandez, by her daughter Mayra Hernandez and her husband Derick Overly, along with her 10 brothers and sisters. She is also survived by her 7 grandchildren: Nelmary, Willie, Javier, Amy, Jr., Alexis, and Isaiah. As well as 7 great-grandchildren: Alejandro, Fabiola, Alexis, Jeremiah, Alicia, Isabel, and little Isaiah.
She was a member of the Church of God Pentecostal International Movement in the town of Aceituna de Mocas in Puerto Rico. She then moved to New York in 1950 where she faithfully attended the John 3:16 Church in the Bronx. She later returned to Puerto Rico in 1970 and attended the Pentecostal Church of God in the town of Rocha de Moca until she moved to Naples, FL where she attended Parkway Life Church Misión Latina.
Lily always had a sense of humor. She was a God-fearing woman who always saw the best in things even in the darkest times. She never complained yet always said she was ok even while fighting her sickness.
She loved to sing. She became the singer of the weekly Friday night prayer meetings at Misión Latina until 3-4 months ago when her sickness began to weaken her. She was anxious to meet her Maker because she knew very well she would receive the greatest gain there.
Her favorite bible verse is Philippians 1:21 “For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.”
