

Mabel is survived by her daughter, Linda Malefyt (William) of Naples, FL; grandson Robert (Tina) and great-granddaughter Ashleigh of Surprise, AZ and close, long-time family friends Tom and Isabel King and their children and grandchildren in Ohio and Pennsylvania. In addition, there are many nieces and nephews in England and Australia.
Mabel, born October 14, 1919 in Oldham, England resided in the Cleveland, Ohio area for many years before retiring to Naples, FL in 1985 with her husband, Cliff, where they enjoyed playing golf together. Cliff was an avid tennis player at Imperial Tennis Club for many years. In addition to Cleveland and Naples, Cliff and Mabel lived in England, Australia, Canada and California.
During WWII, while Cliff was away in the RAF, Mabel supported the war effort in England by working as an inspector to reclaim parts from damaged RAF aircraft and in helping injured pilots, mostly burn victims, to return to civilian life.
In Cleveland, Mabel worked for many years at National City Bank (PNC) before retiring in 1985.
The family suggests that, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Avow Hospice, 1095 Whippoorwill Lane, Naples, FL 34105.
