Mario John Biasi, 81, of Naples, FL, passed away on September 13, 2017. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lucretia; his parents, Joseph and Margaret; and his siblings, Stella and John. Mario is survived by his sons, Joseph (Cassie) Biasi and Angelo (Jen) Biasi; his grandchildren, AJ, Lila, and Adrianna; and his siblings, Frank, Anna, Angie, Vito, and Antonia.
Mario’s life was one of big, radiating love. A devoted husband to his beloved Lucretia for 47 years, his pure joy in spinning her around a dance floor, walking hand-in-hand to the beach or simply sharing a slice of her coconut cream pie was a true testament to the power of love. He was a proud father to his sons and was their biggest supporter in every endeavor. Music gigs, baseball games, school events, life’s ups, downs, celebrations and tribulations, Ang and Joe’s dad was always there for them. In his role as “Grandpa”, Mario gave big. Huge hugs, never-ending praise, and copious servings of Ruffles chips and ginger ale were his forté. His seven siblings meant the world to him from day one, and his dear friends, near and far, were close to his heart and never far from his thoughts.
Mario had a penchant for telling wondrously engaging stories… stories ranging from childhood antics in his hometown of Bari, Italy, to his diner days at the infamous Little Gem in Syracuse, NY. His history with all of those precious to him will live on through big, beautiful stories told by the lucky ones, inspired by a tremendous man with memories of a life well lived.
Ti vogliamo bene, Mario.
