Our sweet, gentle sister Marsha Lee Belyea of Naples, Florida passed away peacefully on February 1, 2017 at Avow Hospice after fighting a courageous battle with cancer. Marsha was born July 2, 1944 in Weymouth, Massachusetts to her parents George F. Belyea and Frances Roblee Belyea. Marsha is survived by her sisters Beverly Sweet, Doris (Duke) Turner, Kathy Winkler, Barbara Wiles and her younger brother, whom she adored, Steven (Lynda) Belyea, also numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents George and Frances Belyea, brother George Belyea, and sister Janice Walker.
Marsha came to Naples with her family in 1953 when she was 9 years old. She worked for Heritage Nursing Home in Naples for 25 years and made many friends while she worked food service, laundry and physical therapy. She loved watching the Miami Dolphins, her ‘stories’ (soap operas), and cooking.
Our beautiful sister was a gift to our family and she had a great sense of humor and an engaging smile. She is now wrapped in God’s arms and will be laid to rest beside her parents.
Memorial Visitation will be on Thursday, February 9th from 12:00 PM until time of Service at 1:00 PM at Hodges Funeral Home at Naples Memorial Gardens, 525 111th Avenue N., Naples, Florida 34108.
The family would like to thank Dr. Bruce Nakfoor and the kind people at Avow Hospice for all the extraordinary care that they gave Marsha. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to your favorite charity in Marsha’s name.
