Mary L. Hanley Shipman

Mary L Shipman, 65, of Naples, Fl, daughter of Lawrence and Rachel Hanley, passed away peacefully Sunday, May 15, 2011 at Avow Hospice, surrounded by her loving family. Born in New York and raised in New Jersey, she moved to Florida 23 years ago. Mary was a devoted wife and mother who also cared for children in her home, Mary had a special love for children and helped raise many here in Naples. She held each and every one of them close to her heart.

She was preceded in death by her mother Rachel and step-father Frances and a loving Grandmother Mary, along with other friends and family members.

Mary is survived by her loving husband, daughter and son-in-law of Naples.

She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws, step children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, friends, and neighbors in many different parts of the United States that cared for her in many ways. Mary loved them all dearly.

The family wishes to acknowledge the care and compassion Mary received at Avow Hospice, during the time of her illness.

A funeral service will be held at 11:30 AM on Saturday, May 28th, 2011 at Ispiri Community Center at Avow Hospice, 1095 Whippoorwill Lane, Naples, Florida. Friends and family are invited to attend, to celebrate her life.
