Raymond Barnett

Raymond Barnett, born on October 14, 1936, passed away on July 4, 2025 in Naples, Florida. He is survived by his loving wife, Anna (Margie) Barnett, and two of their three children: R. Matt Barnett, and Kelly Barnett (spouse Kirk Sanders), and daughter in law Sheri Barnett. He is also survived by two grandchildren, Kayla and Christina and two great-grandchildren, Wyatt and Willow.

He was preceded in death by his son R. Scott Barnett.

Raymond attended Lewistown High School and graduated in 1955. He served in the Army as a Sergeant, then worked on the State College, PA police department and Naples, FL and later went to CCSO and worked his way up to Collier County Deputy Chief Sheriff, retiring in 1989. He joined the FBI in 70's for the CCSO. After retiring he managed Cathy's Fancy in Saint Croix, obtaining his polygraph license and worked for LCSO.

Raymond was known for his dedication to his work and his family. He enjoyed biking in his free time and always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need.

Ray (Chief) will be deeply missed by all who knew him. May he rest in peace.
