Peace to the Bayrun's family . My memory is building an electro magnet in the basement of the Woodlawn Terrace house . We were in third grade and Bob knew how to build an electro magnet! 🙂

Oh Bobert (not a typo),

Knowing I will not be sitting next to you on your beach balcony with a cocktail or walking next to you on the Beach ever again is almost more than I can take and that's why it's taken so long for me to write this.  You were our Family Celebrity and SUUPER Genius and we were all so much more proud of you than can ever be expressed.  Your accomplishments were only eclipsed by the metaphorical size of your heart which was ever present for anyone who was a family member or friend.  Even strangers were like friends as evidenced by how you always treated my always-increasing circle.  The way you took care of everyone ever to cross your path at one time or another was just unequalled by anyone I've ever known with maybe the exception of Mom.  The moments I was the most proud to be your Baby Sister and loved you the absolute most were when you always treated our Parents like the Rockstars they were, especially in their declining years.  It makes me catch my breath every time I think of it and I'm eternally grateful.  Know that we will take the best care of your family because they are ours as well and because of you, we can never be parted.  The stitches in my heart are in the double digits now and I know there are so many more to come but I wouldn't trade the love they represent for anything in the world.  I love you so much and will talk to you always in my mind.  Saw this poem by someone named #ChristopherPoindexter and I thought of you:  "We are the scientists, trying to make sense of the stars inside us."

I am saddened to hear of Bob’s passing. Bob and I were among the first employees at Anadigic’s and worked very closely together there designing circuits.  He was one of the best engineers that I knew.  Our children also played together when they were very young.

I am so very sorry for your loss. Bob was always so proud of and devoted to his wife and children.

Bob was my first boss at Anadigics, our co-founder at Duet Micro, and one of the smarted people I have ever known. Bob was also a dear friend and mentor to me throughout the past 32 years. 

The world is a little dimmer now without Bob around.

My condolences to his family and his brother John who I worked with at Anadigics for many years. Bob was the go-to guy when it came to Circuit analysis. He was always kind and considerate of others point of view.

Bob was my mentor at Duet microelectronics in NJ. I learnt so much from this brilliant and kind man. I was honoured that he kept in touch with me afterwards. My deepest condolences go out to his wife Maureen and his brothers, including John Bayruns.

Bob was such a sweet man whom I had the privilege to work with at Duet. He always made me giggle and stopped to explain things I asked about. Also remember his fondness of his wife’s cooking as I shared my garden veggies with him. RIP Bob, another angel around the throne tonight 

I first met Bob about 37 years ago when Tom and I started dating.   We had an instant connection with both being from extra large families.   Throughout the years we always had a great time when we were together,  Disney World, Christmas at mom Strange's and the wonderful times at the wildwood beach house.
I think we especially bonded when we had a couple months to clean out dad Strange's house when it finally sold  and the many "projects" outside that Bob creatively figured out how to handle, what a whirlwind time that was but Bob would be there every single weekend till it was done. 
Bob was such a successful but humble man and so generous to his family.  He wanted all of his family to enjoy their beautiful shorehouse the way he did.  The beach in Wildwood and more recently Naples were both undeniably his happy places.
I will miss you so much,  and I know you will always be there in spirit looking out for your beautiful family. Rest in peace brother,

Dear Bayruns Family, 

I am very sorry for your loss. Uncle Bob was my Godfather, and I cannot believe the unfortunate, sad news as I just heard about everything this past weekend. Uncle Bob will be forever missed. I remember as young child when he would always present me with the coolest electronic based gifts such as remote-control cars, or cool laser guns that were always a bit tech based. That was his personality as it was reflected in his successful profession. I remember when he would visit our house, he and my Dad would spend hours in the kitchen or the back deck just talking and catching up with each other as best friends normally do. This will be tough for everyone to accept and move on. However, he is in my prayers, and I am sure he is in a better place right now.

Chris and I are sending all our love to Maureen, Christopher, Courtney and all the Bayruns family.  We were so sad to hear of Bob's death.  Bob & I used to play a lot as kids - I can remember him rigging up the entire house with listening devices, and also the Christmas he got the electronic "ear" that allowed us to hear conversations from a great distance...tons of fun.  When Bob came to London many years back, I remember Chris & I stayed up talking for hours into the night about life, the universe and everything.  We also fondly remember the wine tasting trip with Doug when we had lots of laughs.  We hope that all your happy memories of Bob will help him stay in your hearts forever. It’s really hard to understand why these things happen and I’m not sure really it’s our place to know or if it really matter in the long run. The only thing we can do is appreciate the time we have with our loved ones while they are here and make sure to remember and cherish the time spent and the lesson learned given to us by those who have gone. Being seven years younger than Bob I don’t have the same vivid memories or experiences with Bob as do my older siblings but I do have enough to make me smile. I was always amazed when I would go down into the basement and gaze at all of the electronic contraptions that were cooked up by Bob. Some of these strange looking things were innocent, and some not so innocent - but they were always amazing and inspired. 
When I got older and approached the age at which I needed to decide what I was going to do with my life and to where I was going to go to school, Bob provided me with a lot of good advice and guidance. I remember visiting him at work when he was at AT&T Bell labs and thinking “this electrical engineering thing looks pretty cool, I wouldn’t mind working in a place like this”. Little did I know at the time but recognized later that those who worked there possessed such amazing talent and drive that only a few peopled ON THE EARTH would ever call it their place of employment. Nevertheless it was still something to shoot for. He was my first mentor in my career.
Bob’s house was always open for visitors and to stop in, and sometimes like me and John, someplace to stay when our early careers required us to be away from our childhood home. Same was always true for his beach house and we were always welcomed with open arms by both he and Maureen. The last time there was a “bro weekend” several fall seasons ago, I will remember that time as one of the very special moments with my older brother.

I would give anything for one more magical week in Wildwood with Bob and his family. They say old folks remember their childhoods the best. I will always remember the little boy who loved sticking bobby pins into electric outlets, adored the trashman, and wanted to be a "monster" when he grew up.

Jerry and I were so sorry to hear of Bobby’s passing.  I have a lot of memories of going down the street to babysit and Bobby was always into something. Later when Bob, Mike, Steve and Doug were in High school there were always a few Friday nights at Jerry and my apartment. We had some fun times.
Again, we are so sorry for your loss.

Maureen, Christopher and Courtney, uncle Tom here.  Hearing of Bob's passing was a shock that left me with profound sadness.  Bob was a kind, gentle soul that transcended beyond what most people get to experience, he was truly an extraordinary person.  He was giving, thoughtful, hard working, not afraid of taking good calculated risks, a brilliant man and above all a family man.  We've  had many opportunities over the years to spend time at the beach, family gatherings, just hanging out and can easily say he was one of the most humble persons I've ever met.  I am devastated by the loss of a brother and friend and hopefully some of his goodness can be experienced by all that knew him.  Love you Bob.

It is so hard to believe Bob is gone from this world. I have so many memories of him as a kid coming to the house to hang out with my brother, Doug. Watching him grow up and become a successful businessman. Seeing him so happily married and so in love with his wife, Maureen. Life is short and Bob's death is a reminder of this to everyone. He loved his life just the way he lived it. Rest in Peace. You are already missed! 

Dear Maureen, Dr. Courtney,  Chris & Bayruns brothers & sisters: I am heartbroken for your immeasurable loss of such a fine, kind, and selfless man. Having known Bob for most of my life, a piece of me is missing and it is a very good piece. Hold onto your great memories of Bob as I will. Grade school memories of playing football, hockey, building Christmas tree forts in the Woods with Steve and Mike so we could play spin-the-bottle with neighborhood girls. Junior high memories of sleeping in tents in backyards, trying to act tough at school dances, and all sorts of great mischief. High school memories of cruising around in his car that he bought in H.S. with his savings, heading down the shore for a weekend of swimming in the ocean, double dating with Bob and his great love Maureen.  Adult memories of immense pride in my friend as he graduated college, got married, nurtured two terrific children, worked for Bell Labs & subsequent startups,  chalked up all sorts of inventions & patents that changed the electronics industry, traveled the world, and then...bought a vacation home with an actual view of the ocean! Unbeknownst to Bob, he gave hope to a young married father trying to navigate a tricky world, that with hard work, college, & integrity, things could turn out ok for me. Bob was loved and respected by anyone who met him. All five of my sisters and my girlfriends had crushes on Bob. My sons dig him. My parents loved him. And I think I loved Bob from the first time his cousin Mike introduced him to me in the 4th grade as one of the Bayruns brothers. And shortly after we became friends, my girlfriend Kathy Burr dumped me for Bob! It stung a bit but I found myself thinking, even at the age of 10, "I can't blame her, he's cool kid.  I'd probably dump me for him."  Folks could live three lifetimes and still not have had as much fun, meaning or memories as I have with Bob. Memories I'll hold onto for a long time.
