Rose was born in the Bronx, New York, on June 7, 1935, to James and Mary Florio. She shared 45 wonderful years of marriage with the love of her life, Daniel, building a life centered on devotion to family, faith, and loyalty.
Rose worked for many years as a switchboard operator with AT&T, where she was known for her reliability and strong work ethic. After retiring, she embraced life fully, spending her time traveling to visit family and exploring new places. She especially enjoyed weekends searching for antique treasures at local flea markets and was always delighted by a special find.
A woman of generous spirit, Rose faithfully supported charitable causes close to her heart, including the Humane Society, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Harry Chapin Food Bank, and the Pioneer Foundation. She also spent time as a distributor for Watkins Natural Products, sharing products she loved with friends and family.
Rose cherished time with her husband, children, grandchildren, and beloved animals. She was happiest when baking homemade treats, gathering with loved ones, or enjoying a visit to the local casino. Her warmth, humor, generosity, and unwavering love for her family will be remembered always.
Rose was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Daniel; her son, Wayne; her grandson, Antonio; her sisters, Katherine Loffredo, Anne Tirico, and Dorothea Menza; and her sister-in-law, Antonia Lester.
She is survived by her loving children: Christopher Macri and his wife Kathleen; Patricia Macri; Karen DeNicola; Vincent Arcaro; Veronica Marrone and her husband Joseph; Vaughn Arcaro; and Nancy Arcaro and her spouse Diane Fox. She is also survived by her brother, Vincent Florio and his wife Glenda; 16 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and many extended family members and dear friends.
